Hogan Lovells summer associates participate in a rich mix of client projects, training programs, social activities, pro bono assignments, and community service initiatives.
Our lawyers provide summer associates with meaningful assignments, giving students the opportunity to learn by doing and receive valuable feedback on their work. Opportunities to observe firm lawyers as they meet with clients and opposing counsel, lead transactions, conduct depositions, and participate in legislative and administrative hearings round out the summer associate's professional development. The mentors and assignment coordinators who support each summer associate provide guidance and advice, helping each summer associate to maximize their summer experience.
Social events are an important way for summer associates to get to know their new colleagues. Each Hogan Lovells office hosts a variety of summer program activities for students to introduce them to firm lawyers and to the communities we serve. In addition to office by office activities, U.S. summer associates come together in Washington, D.C. for a summer associate retreat to meet their classmates from other offices and learn from Hogan Lovells’ leaders about our vision and values, practice areas, financial information, and strategic plans for the future. To see yourself as a summer associate with Hogan Lovells, view our Baltimore, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Northern Virginia, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Washington, D.C. office pages.
